Nicaragua 2016 🌎

In May of 2016, I spent 9 days in Nicaragua volunteering with an organization called Global Brigades. There were 19 students, 4 doctors, 2 dentists, and 1 pharmacist. Free medical & dental services were provided to 1,165 patients. All patients were sent home with medications and vitamins that would last them for at least 3 months.

This was the experience of a lifetime. Though this event took place before I started this blog, I genuinely believe that the Nicaragua trip has helped shape me into the person I am today, and I wanted to share this experience with you all.

Below you will find pictures from the trip. There are not enough words to describe the feelings of gratitude and happiness that this trip brought upon me. Despite the lack of hot water, the mouse that creeped up under our beds at night, and the indescribably hot and humid weather, the 9 days spent in Nicaragua were the best 9 days of my life- so far!
