Cuisine in Italy

Hi there!

Are you hungry? I sure hope not because after reading this post, no restaurant nearby will suffice! Succinctly speaking, the food in Italy was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. The pictures here speak for a thousand words!

The best pizza I have ever had was in Sicily. My goodness gracious. This was delicious and though it seems a little big, it sure is not! This was a basic margarita pizza (typical me).

After this picture was taken, I cut up the pizza into slices like we normally eat them here in the USA. But, apparently, everyone in Italy eats pizza with a fork and knife! To some, that might be normal, but to me, it sure was not. I was a ‘eat a Dominos pizza slice on a napkin or paper plate’ kind of girl.

Prior to this trip, I had never tried a Cannoli. Everyone is gung-ho about this Italian pastry of the Sicily region. Naturally, I tried this pastry while I was in Sicily. Unlike 90% of the other students in my class, I was quite disappointed. It was OKAY. But, I certainly do not see myself craving.
Side note: I promise to be completely honest in the posts on my blog, so if I did not like the way a certain dish tasted- I will make that clear!

Needless to say, the presentation of this unique dessert was beautiful!

Pasta, shall I say no more? This was absolutely divine. No more, no less.

My favorite dessert of all time in Italy was Tiramisu. Oh my goodness! This was delicious. I had never tasted anything like it. All it took was one little bite of this delicious dessert and I was on cloud 9. As good as the Tiramisu is in the USA, I can honestly it will never taste the same as it did in the land of its origin.

Hungry yet? I genuinely apologize for torturing you all with these pictures of deliciousness, but I hope that each and every one of you get the opportunity to visit Italy at some point in your life.

If you are planning on going, reach out to me and I will be more than happy to give suggestions for restaurants, hotels, etc.

As always, peace and love to all!

♥ FH.

xoxo
